Our client entered a nursing home for some rehabilitation with a small pressure ulcer on her buttocks. The nursing home neglected her by letting her sit on her buttocks all day long, never rotating her in bed, never getting her out of bed and failing to provide her with wound care. Consequently, her ulcer grew significantly in size and severity, causing her severe pain. The case was complicated by her many underlying and preexisting health conditions and arguments by the defense that our client refused care.
